Garrett Planning Network is a mission-driven organization committed to providing Accessible, As-Needed, Fee-Only financial planning. We support a network of 200 financial planners dedicated to offering transparent, fiduciary financial advice to all.
Position Overview:
The Managing Director at GPN will oversee all business operations and lead the organization’s strategic initiatives. This role includes comprehensive management of financial, operational, and technological processes, along with fostering relationships with both GPN members and its parent corporation, GPN Alliance. This role also coordinates and promotes GPN’s annual member conference. Acting as a public representative, the Managing Director will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the press, relevant associations, the higher education community, and government agencies.

-An innovative thinker, capable of advancing new ideas to guide GPN to its next phase.
-Ability to balance and shift between detailed work, team leadership, and big picture focus.
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. A master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
-A minimum of 5 years’ experience (senior staff level or above) in association or business management.
-Familiarity with the personal financial planning profession and specifically the Accessible, As-Needed, Fee-Only model is a plus.
Base salary starting at $120,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunity based on organization growth. Benefits include 401k retirement plan, healthcare benefits and open PTO.
