We are searching for a proactive, reliable Financial Planner to support the advisory team while providing quality customer service to our clients. You will get the opportunity to communicate directly with clients and meet with them alongside our advisors. In this role, you will learn from a cohesive team of professionals. We will train, mentor, and coach you as you build your financial acumen, develop your skills, and establish a successful career. This position has the potential for growth into an advisory role but does not initially involve any sales.


HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Assist Wealth Advisors in preparing for client meetings
  • Build, analyze, and update clients’ financial plans
  • Engage with clients during review meetings and take notes to ensure accurate follow-up
  • Analyze client portfolios and draft investment recommendations
  • Be responsible for opening and transferring client accounts and other administrative tasks.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining client files and CRM records to document all tasks properly.


WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related field
  • At least three (3) years of relevant investment and financial advisory experience preferred.
  • CFP preferred or substantial progress towards completing the designation
  • Registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the state of Michigan or able to become registered within the first six months.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investments
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly and effectively.
  • Strong attention to details, analytical skills, and problem-solving
  • Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously, accommodating unexpected requests or needs, and following through.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients

Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with financial and tax planning software (MoneyGuidePro/Holistiplan or similar)
  • Experience with trading software helpful
  • Experience working with a custodian like Charles Schwab
