Associate Investment Portfolio Manager

Position Overview: The Associate Investment Portfolio Manager (APM) will play a key role in supporting the firm’s portfolio management and client service efforts. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of passive investment strategies and financial markets, as well as a commitment to delivering outstanding client experiences. The APM will collaborate with senior team members, leverage technology to enhance portfolio efficiency, and help refine investment processes. Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management
- Assist in constructing, trading, and rebalancing client portfolios.
- Conduct research on allocation models, mutual funds, and ETFs to ensure alignment with the firm’s investment approach.
- Incorporate tax-efficient strategies to optimize client outcomes.
- Stay updated on market trends, economic data, and regulatory changes impacting investment strategies.
Client Service and Reporting
- Create investment proposals for prospective clients.
- Collaborate with advisors to develop customized investment plans and investment policy statements tailored to each client's financial objectives.
- Manage client cash flow needs, handling both distributions and contributions.
- Monitor portfolio performance and audit client performance reporting.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding portfolio performance, allocation, and market developments.
Operations
- Coordinate with custodians and other service providers to ensure accurate execution of trades and portfolio updates.
- Maximize the use of technology to create efficiencies in the investment management process.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies in all portfolio management activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) are a plus.Series 65 license.
2+ years of experience in portfolio management, investment research, or a related field.
Strong understanding of passive investment strategies, mutual funds, and ETFs.
Proficiency with portfolio management software, financial modeling tools, and CRM systems. Experience with Schwab, I-Rebal, and Redtail a plus.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
