International Issues for the Domestic Planner
With the political turmoil in the US, many advisors and clients are interested in moving to Canada. This presentation will provide a framework in which to tackle the Int’l client and then cover some of the “Oops” and “Ah Ha!” moments along with providing the questions to ask in the areas of income tax, estate planning, retirement planning, investments, risk management, cash management, customs and immigration. By learning the questions to ask, the learned advisor can provide better counsel to clients when leaving the US.
Learning Objectives:
After this course, participants will be able to provide better counsel to their Int’l clients by making them aware of the issues they face, how to resolve them, and where to seek counsel when clients leave the US. Understanding the questions to ask before they move is critical.
