Scott Morrison has dedicated the majority of his working career to leading innovation within the 529 industry. He successfully led key web-first and mobile-first product efforts at industry leader Ascensus Government Savings and forerunner company Upromise Investments for over fifteen years. After a brief life goal break to hike the 2000+ mile Appalachian Trail in 2022 he founded 4k Consulting LLC to provide product solutions consulting services to fintech and edtech startups, ultimately joining Backer / Saving For College in 2023. Scott owns more than 30 years of diverse experience in financial systems product development, including subject matter expertise in state-run retirement, 401(k) administration and mutual fund transfer agency systems.
