David Flores Wilson, CFA, CFP® - Chair
David Wilson helps professionals and entrepreneurs in New York City achieve financial freedom and beyond. Named in Investopedia’s Top 100 Financial Advisors in 2019 and 2020, he is a Managing Partner for Sincerus Advisory. His financial guidance has appeared on CNBC, the New York Times, US News & World Report, Kiplinger, and InvestmentNews. A graduate of University of California, Berkeley, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), and Certified College Financial Consultant (CCFC) designations. David represented Guam in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, sits on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for the Lower East Side Girls Club, and is active with Entrepreneur's Organization, the Estate Planning Council of New York City, Advisors in Philanthropy (AiP), and the Exit Planning Institute. He enjoys traveling, reading, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, yoga, and snowboarding.
Michael Gibney, CFP®, CAP®, AIF®
Michael Gibney is a seasoned financial professional, currently the Principal and Wealth Manager at Modera Wealth Management, LLC. With over 20 years of experience in financial planning, preceded by 15 years on Wall Street, he’s a trusted advisor to clients nationwide. His expertise spans various aspects of financial planning, including retirement, estate, tax planning, and risk management.
Michael’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Pace University and a financial planning certificate from New York University. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designations. Notably, he’s been quoted in esteemed publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, and USA Today, offering insights into personal finance and retirement planning.
His influence extends beyond his professional life. He actively contributes to his community, including leadership roles for the New Jersey Metro Multiple Sclerosis Society. Michael is a past Northeast Mid-Atlantic Regional Board member and was a past Chair of NAPFA’s Leadership Development Committee.
Michael Joyce, CFA®, CFP®
Michael is the founder and President of Agili. As such, he is responsible for overall investment strategy, management of investment portfolios, and financial counseling services. Michael received a B.S. degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Drexel University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. Michael is a former chair of the NAPFA National Board of Directors and past president of the NAPFA Foundation. Michael also currently serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Richmond Forum and as a member of the Endowment Committee for Lead Virginia.
Samantha Macchia, CFP®
Samantha started her career in financial planning in 1992 after graduating from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance. She obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification in 1995 and joined Summit in 1996. She has extensive experience and expertise in advising clients in the areas of wealth management, financial planning and investments. Samantha was named as the firm’s President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 2016.
Samantha is an active member of NAPFA and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). She has served on the NAPFA National Board of Directors as the Treasurer and Midwest Region Chair and the NAPFA Midwest Board of Directors as the President and Treasurer. Samantha has been quoted in numerous financial publications, appeared on CNBC, and is a frequent speaker on financial planning and practice management topics. In 2017 and 2018, she served as a member of the Advisory Board to Charles Schwab Advisor Services.
Samantha spent her childhood in Oregon and has lived in Ohio since 1984. She resides in Blacklick with her husband Robert. They have two sons, Alec and Aidan.
