Most recently, Philip Murphy founded a fee-only RIA dedicated to helping clients fulfill their life’s purpose. Previously he was an independent consultant in the index industry and led S&P Dow Jones Indices’ Governance Group as Managing Director and Global Head. He served as Chairman of the Index Committee overseeing the S&P 500®? and other major benchmarks and held managerial responsibility for the entire array of global index and policy committees at S&P DJI. As a former industry insider, Philip has a unique perspective on the virtues, as well as the limitations, of index investing. During his corporate career, Philip regularly hosted index advisory panels and spoke at industry events. He has extensive knowledge of markets, indexes and exchange-traded funds. He wrote the Index Capital Insights™? newsletter, contributed to S&P DJI’s Indexology®? blog, and was published in several professional journals.
